ok guys i am going to be starting a new engine build here in the next few months after i return to work
my plan so far is to build a higher compression ls vtec
this is a 1.8 li non vtec engine with a vtec head i am going to use my 1.6 li head and a full b18b bottom end minus the pistons
now i dont know how many of you are familliar with honda engines so i will go into some better detail
ok now i plan on using the stock crank and connecting rods and then i am going to use my 1.6 li pistons because they are domed rather than flat like the stock b18b pistons which will raise the compression to 10 2 1 rather than 9 2 1 which is not much but keep in mind that this is a budget minded build since i now will have half of the money to spend as i used to. ok then i am going to have the crank knife edged and micro polished, also i will have the whole rotating assembly balanced. then i will use a type r oil pump and water pump which are much mcuh better than the stock b18b. now onto the head i am having the head port and polished and port matched on the intake and exhaust. i will be doing a full super tech valve train (valves retainers and springs). i will be using stock rockers for now. i am also going to be using a set of stage 3 skunk2 cams. i will be using an edelbrock victor x intake mani and an edelbrock 65mm throttle body. i am also going to buy a tri y long tube polished header. i will be using my 7.5 lb act prolight flywheel and i have an lsd trans with a carbon kevlar stage 3 clutch and 700 hp axels. and i am will be running hasport solid polished motor mounts which i already have now. and i am going to be shooting a 150 shot of nitrous
now wait dont call me a ricer just cuz im using juice here is why
i was going to go turbo but instead i am going nitrous because it is by far cheaper and will do just fine considering the fact that i was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 2 months ago and i have a about 170 bucks a month for meds i cant afford to go boost right now so i am going to have fun with nitrous and slowly piece together a turbo kit with an evo 3 turbo for starters so i just want more fun and i am going to autox my four door that this will go in
any thoughts or opinions would be great here is the parts list
