I was thinking of getting or making an air intake for my car. I have a 1997 Honda Accord Special Edition. :P 4 cylinder.
I hear many good things about intakes and many bad things.
I see a lot of articles telling me that a new performance intake systems will increase my mpg, increase horse power by a little amount and give me that nice sound I want..
I see other articles tell me that performance intakes are just a waste of money. As seen in this video:

This guy is going off about how it can be hard on the engine. He has some good points. It will cause the engine to over work and the engine wont last as long. He also says that my cars computer wont be able to handle the increase of air. The car can only handle a certain amount of PSI. I read other places that performance intakes also decrease your mpg???
I can't figure out if getting an intake will help me or is it going to be harmful to my precious car?
BTW What is the difference between a "Cold Air Intake" and a "Short Ram Intake"? ?
