98 explorer window problem

my windows recently completly quit working,along with the interior lights.i was in a crash about a year ago and the passengers side door was smashed in. but the windows still worked then one day they just died. when i put a fuse in the block it popps. that led me to believe a short was to blame? can anyone please help me out?
